This is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, pull an official booking record, or decide whether a photograph can be released. Contact the agency or court that holds the record.
Gooding County Jail and Sheriff
For county custody, a booking record, or a booking-photo question, start with the Gooding County Sheriff’s Office and identify the current designated custodian. The research found no separate records-unit line, published booking-photo form, local fee schedule, or public walk-in hours. The county’s Submit a Request page links the general public-records form.

The Idaho Sheriffs’ Association directory lists sheriff@co.gooding.id.us and ahoffman@co.gooding.id.us. Verify email delivery before sending a time-sensitive request.
For emergencies or an active threat, call 911. The Sheriff’s anonymous narcotics hotline is 208-934-9114. That line is a tip route, not a custody confirmation or records desk.
Where to Ask for Each Record
The right contact depends on the event and the custody state.
- For a county booking or current local custody question, call Gooding County Sheriff or Gooding County Jail first.
- For a Gooding Police incident or arrest report, use the Gooding city public-records form and the city’s records route.
- For a Wendell police record, start with the clerk at City Hall, 375 1st Avenue East, Wendell, ID 83355, 208-536-5161, cityclerk@wendell.id.gov. The city’s forms page links its 2025 request form.
- For Hagerman municipal records, start with City Hall at 191 N State St, Hagerman, ID 83332, 208-837-6636, and ask which custodian holds the report. The city page routes police non-emergency calls to 208-934-4421.
- For a public, unsealed case, use Idaho iCourt or the Gooding County clerk/courthouse. For state custody or supervision, use the IDOC Resident/Client Search.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP locator or ICE locator. Those systems are not county booking sources.
Writing a Useful Request
Give the custodian a full name, date of birth if known, arresting agency, booking number if known, and a narrow date range. Say whether the request seeks the booking record, the photo, the incident report, or all three. Ask for an electronic copy and the reason for any withheld or redacted part. The Idaho Attorney General public-records guidance explains request contents, cost allowances, and response periods. Do not promise a same-day response because Gooding County has not published a booking-photo turnaround.
Charges at booking are accusations. The court disposition, when public, is the source for what happened next. A news outlet or copied index cannot confirm custody or replace the Sheriff, city, clerk, or court.
